Bono joins line-up for Band Aid 20

-----------------------------------------------

(Rte.ie) -- Bono and Paul McCartney are the latest names to be added to the line-up for the new recording of the Band Aid charity single 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'

Billboard reports that the single is due for release on 29 November and that Bono will reprise the lyric "Well tonight, thank God it's them instead of you" for the new version of the song.

The star-studded line-up also features Robbie Williams, Dido, The Darkness, Coldplay and Snow Patrol.

The song will be recorded in London on 14 November, but it is understood that McCartney, Williams and Dido are recording their vocal parts separately.

McCartney will play bass on the new version with Travis' Fran Healy on guitar.
