(RTE.ie) -- U2, Keane, Franz Ferdinand and the Red Hot Chili Peppers were among the artists honoured at the Q Awards in London yesterday.
U2 took home the Q Icon Award, while Keane won Best Album for their debut 'Hopes and Fears'.
Franz Ferdinand won Best Video and the Red Hot Chili Peppers were named Best Act in the World Today.
Roxy Music were the recipients of the Q Lifetime Achievement Award; the Q Classic Songwriter Award went to Elton John and Shane MacGowan received the Q Merit Award.
Muse were Best Live Act, Razorlight Best New Act and Jamelia won Best Single for 'See It in a Boy's Eyes'.
