(Netmusiccountdown.com) -- U2's Bono took some time to watch Nelson Mandela celebrate his 85th birthday. As part of the celebration over 1600 guests came together to pay tribute to the man who spent nearly thirty years in prison under South Africa's apartheid goverment and then helped bring the country to a democratic system.
Among the star-studded list were The Corrs, talk show host Oprah Winfrey, and Coretta Scott-King, wife of the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King.
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton was also there to pay tribute. Clinton commented, "You have taught us the freedom of forgiveness ... shown us the power of humility."
