(Netmusiccountdown.com) -- Just because the AIDS benefit concert where U2 were planning to unleash a new track was cancelled, doesn't mean you won't get a chance to hear the song.
Bono says the song he co-wrote will now end up on an album due in the fall.
At the Golden Globes Awards, Bono discussed the song. "Yeah, I wrote a song with Joe Strummer --Edge played on it. Joe Strummer's dead now. He was the great progenitor of the Clash, a great group from the '70s and the '80s. It's a song...It's Nelson Mandela's prison number, and we're working on that. It will be on an AIDS emergency album that's coming out in the fall."
