(Q) -- U2 have revealed their new material, in an exclusive interview with Q magazine. Guitarist Edge says: "We're on a roll. It's getting more like the early U2 records. Really simple, stripped-down arrangements." Apparently "hungry for music with life-force," the band have recorded a raft of tunes which recall Bowie and The Who. Primitive riffs and abrasive garage band rawness are the order of the day for the globe-straddling Irish rockers - the full story is in this month's Q magazine, on sale 8 October.
