U2 to join Enrique & The Corrs...

(ShowBiz Ireland) -- U2, The Corrs and now International singing sensation Enrique Inglesias will perform at the 2002 Meteor Ireland Music Awards.
It has just been announced that Enrique will join the star-studded line-upon Monday, March 4, in the Point Theatre.
Also in the line-up for Ireland's biggest music and celebrity event, will be Gabrielle, Ronan Keating, Samantha Mumba, Lighthouse Family, The Cranberries, Muse and Westlife.
The Awards ceremony will mark Enrique's first performance in Ireland and will be eagerly awaited by his legions of Irish fans.
It was also confirmed that singer/songwriter David Gray and film star Adrian Dunbar will join John Hurt, Craig Doyle, Maria Doyle-Kennedy, Keith Duffy, Brendan O'Carroll and Brian Kennedy, in presenting awards at the event alongside comedian Patrick Kielty who will host the Awards.
However, Enrique will be joined by the nights surprise guests ShowBizIreland.com can reveal. Both U2 and The Corrs will play live in Dublin also on the night...
The Oscar nominated actress Cate Blanchett may also be invited to make a guest appearance on the night. She has just taken up residence of her new apartment in Dalkey with her husband and newborn baby son and is due to start filming the Veronica Guerin story from March 3rd.
Meanwhile the party of last week was held in the newly opened Courtyard cafe in Donnybrook on Thursday and hosted by Norma Smurfit.
The Debenhams lunch and fashion show event was held in aid of the Irish Youth Foundation and included guests such as Sinead O'Connor.
