U2 nominated for eight grammys

(Grammy.com) -- U2, India.Arie, Alicia Keys, Pierre Boulez, Alison Krauss, Brian McKnight and Outkast are among the top nominees for the 44th Annual GRAMMY Awards, reflecting a year where established legends shared the musical spotlight with a diverse array of bright newcomers.
Veteran rockers U2 lead in number of nominations with eight, including nods in the coveted Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year and Song Of The Year categories. The group will be competing against themselves in the Best Rock Song category as they earned two nominations, for "Elevation" and "Walk On," both tracks from their critically acclaimed album All That You Can't Leave Behind.
